Would you like to trek to one of Wicklow’s high summits, carrying your kit and camping on top for the night? Our Summit Hike & Camp Wicklow is just what you need!

17th & 18th April 2021 & 10th & 11th July 2021. Click here for more details on this exciting wilderness camp in the Wicklow Mountains.

The Wicklow Mountains are a beautiful place to camp and some of its summits are ideal for wild camping. We have the equipment, knowledge and experience to bring you to the best of them!

The is a COVID compliant activity: you share a tent with your family member or close circle friend, we maintain social distance at all times and you cook for yourself, there is no sharing of equipment.

Weather will dictate which summit we go for, but we will meet early afternoon on day 1, equipment is issued, and we start out trek to high camp. Along the way, we’ll teach you about navigation, the mountain’s flora & fauna and handy tips to keep you safe in the hills.

Once we reach our summit campsite we establish camp for the night. You prepare your own camp dinner on the stoves and sit out for hopefully a beautiful evening in the depths of the mountains. We learn about Leave No Trace and how it applies to us and the next morning we break camp and leave nothing but our thanks behind!

Camping in the mountains involves carrying a heavy pack. Each pair will have their own kit along with a tent, stove and food to carry.

We supply the following equipment:

  • 3 person mountain tent which you share with your buddy
  • Mountain stove & gas
  • Camp dinner & breakfast
  • Guiding

We use 3 person mountain tents, for 2 people these give plenty of space. With 3 people they are a little tighter, but they are still comfortable.
