The N69, N70 and N86 National Secondary Roads all diverge from Tralee. Other prominent towns in Kerry are covered – Castlegregory, Farranfore, Milltown, Castleisland, Abbeydorney, Ardfert, Fenit, and Ballyheige

Kerry Airport can be found in the South East, just off the N23 from Farranfore.

A railway line also runs from Tralee, through Farranfore, before continuing South.

The Slieve Mish Mountains and the Stack’s Mountains are two famous mountain ranges to be found on this map. The Stacks Mountains are, for the most part, covered in forestry. The Slieve Mish Mountains are more barren, with Baurtregaum and Caherconree being some of the highest peaks.

The presence of the Atlantic Ocean has developed numerous beaches on this map including Derrymore Strand and Banna Strand.

The River Maine flows through Castleisland, before connecting with The Brown Flesk River, continues to Castlemaine and out into the Castlemaine Harbour.

The Seven Hogs, or The Magharee Islands, are a group of islands located off Rough Point, separating Tralee Bay and Brandon Bay.

Two waymarked walks, The Dingle Way and The North Kerry Way, cover large portions of the Dingle peninsula and the coastline. They allow the beautiful landscape to be truly appreciated.

Tralee Bay is a popular angling location and is home to a recognised bird sanctuary.

There are several camping locations around the coastline, encouraging visitors and outdoors enthusiasts to fully experience this unique area.
